Loss of boost does not always mean a failed turbo
A boost-pressure fault can involve the air path, boost control, sensors or the turbo itself. Motor-Pro assesses the reported symptoms and diagnostic findings to help identify the cause before recommending a repair.
What to tell us
Common enquiries include reduced power, limp mode, underboost or overboost codes and a fault that appears under acceleration. Let us know about any unusual noises, smoke, recent repairs or previous turbo replacement.
What happens at the assessment
We discuss the vehicle and fault before booking, assess suitable issues on-site, and explain the supported next step. Smoke testing may form part of a diagnostic assessment where appropriate; it is not offered as a separate standalone service.
Will an underboost code mean I need a new turbo?
Not necessarily. A code reports a condition the vehicle detected; it does not always identify the failed part. Diagnosis helps distinguish between possible causes. Parts and repair work are discussed separately after assessment.
